Rib Structure

A lightweight rib structure was designed in order to increase the stiffness of the airframe while minimizing the total mass.

Optimized for 3D Printing

The design was specially optimized to reduce the amount of support material necessary for 3D printing by avoiding overhangs in excess of 60 degrees. The assembly was subdivided into 23 separate components to fit onto a standard 3D printer build plate.

Aerodynamic Design

The smooth aerodynamically optimized body reduces drag, achieving a higher maximum air velocity, and reducing the load on the motor.
