A VTOL (Vertical Takeoff Or Landing) drone is a special UAV configuration that takes advantage of the efficiency of a fixed-wing aircraft and the versatility of a multirotor drone. This design effort is currently ongoing, and aims to reduce the overall footprint of the aircraft with an innovative new wing design, doubling the effective wingspan while remaining half the size.
